AWS Cloud Solutions Architect

Job Summary: Design secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant AWS cloud solutions for enterprise workloads. The role partners with business, engineering, security, and operations teams to define cloud strategy, architecture patterns, technical guardrails, and implementation guidance. Experience : 11+ yrs overall Work Model : Hybrid / Remote Key Responsibilities: ● Design AWS architectures for enterprise workloads with a focus on security, resiliency, scalability, performance, cost optimization, and operational readiness. ● Define cloud architecture patterns, reference architectures, network designs, landing zone considerations, IAM models, observability standards, and governance controls. ● Partner with business, security, engineering, infrastructure, data, and operations teams to translate requirements into effective cloud solution designs. ● Provide technical leadership across cloud migration, modernization, DevOps enablement, platform engineering, and cloud security workstreams. ● Conduct design reviews, architecture workshops, decision forums, and technical risk assessments throughout the delivery lifecycle. ●  Document architecture diagrams, design decisions, standards, implementation guidance, and operational handoff materials. ● Ensure cloud solution designs align with defined architecture standards, governance controls, security requirements, and operational needs. ● Guide technical teams through architecture decisions, implementation considerations, risk resolution, and delivery alignment. Required Skills: ● Strong AWS architecture expertise across IAM, VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Cloud Watch, KMS, and AWS security services. ● Experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, landing zones, hybrid connectivity, resiliency, disaster recovery, compliance, and cloud governance. ● Hands-on familiarity with Terraform and/or Cloud Formation, CI/CD integration, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness patterns. ● Ability to guide engineering teams and clearly communicate architecture decisions to business, technical, and leadership stakeholders. ● Strong understanding of secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant AWS architecture patterns for enterprise workloads. ● Ability to translate business, security, and technical requirements into practical AWS solution designs and implementation guidance. Qualifications / Certifications: ● 11+ years of IT experience, including 6+ years in cloud architecture, infrastructure architecture, or enterprise solution architecture. ● Experience working in healthcare, payer, privacy-focused, security-sensitive, or regulated cloud environments is preferred. ● Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate, and Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
