Description
We are seeking an Azure Cloud Systems Engineer Entry-DCBOS-Cust to support the stability, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based infrastructure and distributed systems. The selected candidate will assist in maintaining cloud environments, performing system integration activities, and supporting analysis efforts to ensure operational effectiveness of the overall system. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, and distributed environments. Security Clearance: Secret Clearance Required. Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens ONLY due to legal or government contract requirements. Key Responsibilities Support the stability, reliability, and sustainability of cloud-based networks and software systems. Assist with system integration, verification, and validation activities. Monitor and maintain distributed virtual machine (VM) environments across cloud platforms. Develop and implement proactive engineering mechanisms to monitor system health, performance, and availability. Troubleshoot and resolve system performance, configuration, and operational issues. Conduct supportability and effective analysis to improve system operations. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies to support system design and improvements. Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance automation, scalability, and operational efficiency. Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks. Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards and operational requirements. Participate in continuous learning and technical development initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Understanding of Windows or Linux operating systems Knowledge of networking fundamentals and virtualization concepts Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented DoD environment Preferred Qualifications Internship or academic experience supporting cloud or infrastructure environments Exposure to VMware, Hyper-V, or virtualized environments Basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) Familiarity with automation or Infrastructure-as-Code concepts Experience supporting Federal or DoD programs Certifications IAT Level II certification required.
