Responsibilities Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and cost-efficient Cloud solutions that enable enterprise technology initiatives. Lead Cloud architecture, automation, governance, security, and operational excellence across public, private, and hybrid environments while ensuring reliability, compliance, and business continuity. Design and maintain secure, highly-available Cloud infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid environments. Develop Cloud architecture standards, adoption strategies, and migration plans aligned with business objectives. Evaluate workloads and determine optimal hosting models across Cloud and on-premises platforms. Create disaster recovery and business continuity solutions that meet recovery time and recovery point objectives. Deploy, configure, and support infrastructure, platform, and software services across Cloud ecosystems. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using modern automation and configuration management tools. Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency. Implement Cloud security controls including identity management, encryption, network segmentation, and access governance. Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to support regulatory and organizational requirements. Establish monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions across Cloud and on-premises environments. Analyze resource consumption and optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and Cloud spending. Create and enforce Cloud governance standards, landing zone designs, tagging frameworks, and operational best practices. Requirements 3+ years of experience in Cloud engineering, Cloud architecture, or infrastructure engineering. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure. Experience designing and supporting hybrid Cloud and multi-Cloud environments. Proficiency with Infrastructure as code and automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation, or similar technologies. Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. Knowledge of Cloud networking, identity management, security controls, and governance frameworks. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, BASH, or similar languages. Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms. Preferred Hands-on experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Hands-on experience with VMware. Cloud certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent. This is a 6-month Contract-to-hire opportunity with our Topeka, KS client.
