Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to support the cloud infrastructure needs of our legal operations. The ideal candidate will have experience deploying secure, compliant, and scalable cloud environments tailored to the legal industry, including Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID for identity and device compliance management. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure on Azure to support legal case management systems, e-discovery platforms, and document management solutions. Deploy and maintain Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) environments for attorneys and legal staff. Manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM), ensuring device compliance and secure access to legal data. Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive with a focus on legal collaboration and data retention policies. Configure and manage Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for identity governance, conditional access, and secure authentication. Conduct cloud cost analysis and implement cost-saving strategies using Azure Cost Management, and FinOps best practices. Ensure compliance with legal industry regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, and ABA cybersecurity guidelines. Automate infrastructure provisioning using GitHub, Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep. Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and availability using Azure Monitor, and third-party tools. Qualifications Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty – a plus Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer – a plus Industry Security Certification(s) – a plus ITIL V.4 Technical Skills Required: Cloud Platform: Microsoft Azure Cloud Virtualization & VDI: Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), FSLogix Device & Identity Management: Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Compliance Policies Microsoft Power Platform: PowerBi, Power Automate, and Power Apps is a plus Productivity & Collaboration: Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep Scripting & Automation: PowerShell DevOps & CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions Monitoring & Logging: Azure Monitor Log Analytics Networking: VNet, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Route 53, NSGs, Load Balancers, vWAN Security & Compliance: Entra ID, IAM, Key Vault, Security Center KMS, HIPAA/GDPR/ISO 27001 compliance Cost Management: Azure Cost Management, Budgets Legal Tech Integration: Experience with legal software platforms (e.g., Filevine, Litify) is a plus Soft Skills Required: Strong understanding of legal industry workflows and data sensitivity Excellent communication skills to collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and IT staff Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language Strong organizational and documentation skills Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking abilities High attention to detail, especially in compliance and security contexts Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced legal environment Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to mentor and share knowledge Strong sense of ownership and accountability for cloud infrastructure and services Physical Requirements Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions. Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area. Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer. Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs. Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
