About the Role We're looking for a mid-level back-end software developer with solid .NET experience to join our engineering team. You'll design, build, and maintain the server-side applications, APIs, and data layers that power our products, working alongside a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and product managers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building robust, well-architected systems and is ready to take ownership of meaningful features end to end. What You'll Do Design, develop, and maintain back-end applications and services using C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET Core / .NET 6+) Build, document, and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and third-party services Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers for performance and scalability Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technical direction of our systems Apply software design principles and patterns to build maintainable, testable, and scalable code Write clean, well-documented code following established best practices Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications for performance and reliability Work within an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning and retrospectives What We're Looking For 3–5 years of professional back-end software development experience Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework / .NET Core Experience with ASP.NET Core and building robust web APIs Deep understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) — including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures Experience with ORMs like Entity Framework, and knowing when to use raw SQL instead Solid grasp of software architecture — layered/clean architecture, separation of concerns, and design patterns Understanding of SOLID principles and how to apply them in practice Experience with version control systems, particularly Git Familiarity with API design best practices (versioning, authentication, error handling) Solid knowledge of American sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) — including rules, league structures, seasons, and statistics Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Nice to Have Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Moq) Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) Understanding of message queues and event-driven architecture (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus) What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Flexible working arrangements Professional development and learning opportunities A collaborative and supportive team culture Show more Show less
