This position is for a current vacancy.General ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service and foster a warm and inclusive environmentPrepare coffee beverages according to company recipes (with a specific emphasis on accurate dial-ins)Support all product and services at cafe including food, pastry and merchandisingRepresent Dark Horse within the Toronto specialty coffee communityAct with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Dark HorseFollow health and safety policiesProvide management with feedback on how we can improve our processesDemonstrate strategic understanding of food service operations by providing recommendations.Execute(when necessary) ordering, inventory management, queue management, and moreFollows all operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling & safety, security during each shiftTaking food and beverage orders using POS system (when necessary)Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-30 poundsBasic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.
