About The PositionDear Grain is seeking Full time Baristas to join us at Roncesvalles location.We are looking for a candidate role who has a passion for coffee, community and enjoys working as part of a team. Candidates must possess natural affinity for service and have outstanding emotional intelligence and soft-skills. The successful candidate will be excited at the chance to grow a coffee focused hospitality business and embrace the challenges that come along with it.General ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service and foster a warm and inclusive environment Prepare coffee beverages according to company recipes (with a specific emphasis on accurate dial-ins of our Espresso menu)Support all product and services at cafe including food, pastry and merchandisingContinue to enhance collaboration with our partners at Dear Grain BakeryRepresent Dear Grain within the Toronto specialty coffee communityAct with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Dear GrainFollow health and safety policiesProvide management with feedback on how we can improve our processesDemonstrate strategic understanding of food service operations by providing recommendations.Execute(when necessary) ordering, inventory management, queue management, and moreFollows all operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling & safety, security during each shiftTaking food and beverage orders using POS system (when necessary)Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [Specify weight, e.g., 25 pounds]. Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.
