Location: King's University College (Darryl J. King Student Life Centre) 266 Epworth Ave, London, ON N6A 2M3 Job description: We are seeking a passionate, proactive, and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. Operating hours are 11:00 AM ? 4:00 PM, with shift hours running from 10:00 AM ? 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday ?(Minimum 3 hours - Maximum 6 hours shift). As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages. Your ability to multitask and manage time effectively will ensure that each customer receives prompt and friendly service. Responsibilities: * Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards. * Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. * Handle cash transactions efficiently using the POS system, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering practices. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and equipment. * Assist with food handling and preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines. * Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. * Manage time effectively to meet customer demands while maintaining quality standards. Requirements: * Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required. * Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately. * Knowledge of food handling practices and commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the workplace. * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. * Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage but training will be provided. * Ability to work flexible hours.
