Whisk Matcha Café is a locally owned, plant-based matcha café and bakery located in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Barista to join our team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced café environment, take pride in delivering excellent customer service, and have an appreciation for quality food and beverages, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities * Prepare matcha beverages, espresso drinks, and other café beverages * Texture milk and create basic latte art * Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service * Operate the POS system and process customer orders * Prepare simple food items and bakery products * Package and label retail products * Assist with opening and closing duties * Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the café * Work collaboratively with the team during busy service periods Qualifications * Minimum 1 year of barista experience * Experience steaming milk and preparing espresso beverages * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team * Able to stand and move throughout an 8-hour shift and perform routine lifting and carrying associated with café operations * Availability to work weekends is required Have an interest in matcha is an asset, but full training on our products and preparation methods will be provided.
