Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Tasks: Calculate crane capacities . Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting. Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials. Perform pre-operational inspection. Clean and lubricate cranes. Perform routine maintenance work. Operate mobile crane. Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Boom Truck Crane Operator Trade Certification. Mobile Crane Operator Trade Certification. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Type of cranes: Hydraulic or telescoping boom. Security and safety: Drug test. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity.
