Based at 125 Valiant Place, Langford, BC, Canada, V9B 3M1. Position Title Bricklayer Foreman/woman Job Duties * Supervise workers, projects and job sites to ensure maximum productivity. * Coordinate job site work schedule with workers, labourers, subcontractors and clients. * Troubleshoot problems on job sites, including contacting clients, suppliers, and employees, to ensure maximum work quality, meet schedules and budget, and maintain client satisfaction. * Request and order materials, equipment and supplies. * Train workers in required tasks and the company?s best practices. * Ensure workers follow health and safety regulations. * Prepare work progress reports for the office and keep clients informed. * Review project blueprints and sketches to determine material quantities and specifications required for excavation, base preparation, and paver/stone installation work. * Cut, trim, and shape pavers, bricks, and stone using hand and power tools to achieve precise fit and finish at edges, borders, and transitions. * Prepare and lay bricks, stones, and concrete blocks to build patios, driveways, garden walls and other installations. * Other related tasks as required by the employer. Hours of Work Between 30 and 40 hours per week, occurring between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. Terms of Employment Permanent, full-time. Wage $38.50 to $40.00 per hour. Benefits 2 weeks of paid vacation after one year of employment. Education and Skills Requirements High School education. At least 1 year of experience as a Bricklayer, Concrete Finisher, or related occupation. A minimum of 1 year of leadership experience within the bricklaying, hardscaping or relevant industry. Previous experience training team members. Previous experience coordinating and setting work schedules between labourers and clients. A valid driver's license is required for the occasional operation of company passenger vehicles. Good oral and written communication skills.
