Position : Project Intake Analyst Location : Hybrid in Roseville, MN 3x per week Duration : W2 12-month contract with high likelihood for FTE conversion or long-term extensions Pay Range: $37-41/hr Must Have Requirements: Experience with project intake coordination, or IT Business Analysis roles (IT/software strongly preferred) Strong understanding of CapEx vs. OpEx concepts with the ability to analyze software contracts and effectively communicate regulatory policies and project approval procedures. Financial and compliance awareness within IT project environments Proficiency with JIRA and SharePoint Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Collaborative, team-oriented mindset Comfortable exercising independent judgment and ownership of work Job Overview: Our client is seeking a Project Intake Analyst / Business Analyst to support the Project Intake (PIT) team, with a strong focus on software-related capital projects. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate intake, financial classification, and compliance with internal capitalization policies. This role is ideal for candidates with IT project intake, PMO support, business analysis, or finance operations backgrounds who are comfortable working cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and Governance teams. Key Responsibilities: Review and validate incoming project intake requests for completeness and policy alignment Coordinate intake routing across operational finance sectors, and supporting teams. Perform Capital vs. O&M (CapEx vs. OpEx) analysis for IT/software projects Document and recommend proper financial coding for project activities Partner with IT, Finance, and Project Managers to ensure accurate classification Maintain audit-ready documentation and support governance requirements Identify opportunities for process improvement, including use of automation and AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) Show more Show less
