Role Description The C Developer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Huntsville, AL. In this role, the developer designs, implements, and maintains C-based software applications and system components, ensuring code quality, reliability, and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, debugging and resolving issues, optimizing existing solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product managers, QA engineers, and other developers. The C Developer will work within Linux environments, integrate applications with databases and other services, and contribute to technical documentation and best practices. The role also involves participating in code reviews, adhering to secure coding standards, and supporting continuous improvement of development processes. Qualifications Strong programming skills in C, with experience writing efficient, maintainable, and secure code. Hands-on software development experience, including participation in the full software development lifecycle. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their practical application where relevant. Experience working with databases, including designing schemas, writing queries, and integrating database access into applications. Proficiency with Linux operating systems, including development, debugging, and deployment in Linux environments. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with embedded systems, networking concepts, or performance optimization in C is a plus.
