Overview At GSM Contracting Inc. we build custom homes and additions, renovate full homes, build detached garages, and more! Established in 2010, we strive to work meticulously and with integrity in order to provide high-quality results in all of our projects. We are looking for an experienced framing carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the following: Duties * Follow crew leader and complete delegated tasks * Safely operate hand tools, saws, and other construction equipment * Load, unload and transport construction materials * Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites * Read drawings and sketches to determine work requirements * Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials * Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems * Foundation work, including ICF, forming, and concrete work * Excavation work * Demonstrates a positive attitude and working climate, with an emphasis on health and safety. * Ensures daily maintenance is carried out for all equipment on site. * Inform the Management immediately of any deficiencies which include mistakes, errors, contamination, or damages (property or equipment etc.) Continually working towards preventing deficiencies. * Performs other duties as required * Install siding and other exterior finishes to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal * Conduct quality checks throughout the framing process to maintain safety standards and structural integrity Requirements * Excellent time management skills * Punctual * Works well with others * Excellent communication skills * Minimum G class license * Own transportation * Supply own finishing tools * Able to work 5 days a week * Able to work 10-hour days * Speak fluent English Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site gym * Paid time off * Vision care Experience: * Framing/Forming: 4 years (required) Language: * Fluent English (required) Work Location: In person
