Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care within a hospital setting. Your expertise in medication administration and medical terminology will be crucial in ensuring that patients receive the correct medications and information. Duties * Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. * Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. * Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventories to ensure compliance with regulations. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective medication administration. * Process prescriptions, including verifying prescription information and managing refills. * Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements. * Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace to promote a safe environment. Experience * Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, particularly in a hospital setting. * Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to interpret prescriptions accurately is essential. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. * A commitment to providing excellent patient care while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
