You will provide clinical counselling, therapy, & related services to individuals (children, youth, adults), couples, & families seeking assistance with personal/interpersonal problems. May provide group therapy sessions, facilitate Rapid Access Clinics, & engage in community collaborations. Provide counselling, therapy & related services.Experience in counselling children, youth & familiesConduct initial assessments to determine needs & goalsDevelop individualized serviced plansFacilitate groups & develop programsAttend agency meetings, knowledgeable about agency programs/community activities & community outreachPerform related administrative & record keeping dutiesParticipate in clinical supervisionAssist with supervision of peers, students & individual casesWork flexible hours - including evenings & weekendsOther duties as assigned Degree in Social Work (BSW, BISW)3-5 years of supervised clinical experience in a related/relevant counselling areaEligible to register with & maintain good standing in a relevant professional associationExperience providing counselling to children under 12 years of age Theories/Practices of: interviewing, assessment, & evaluation techniques human development, behavior & change communication & conflict resolution trauma- & violence-informed approachesAssess high risk clients (suicidal) & intervene quickly/appropriatelyExperience with evidence-based interventions for children & youth mental health & behavioural concernsCultural awareness & sensitivity to Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, newcomer and 2SLGBTQI+ communitiesExperience in facilitating group work; knowledge of group dynamicsStrong organizational, time management & caseload management skillsExcellent written & verbal communicationMaintain confidentiality & uphold professional ethical standardsRespond effectively to complex & sensitive situationsCommitment to ongoing professional development
