Description
Job Summary Conducts detailed analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to support healthcare providers in diagnosing, prognosing, and treating patients. Engages in operational support activities to maintain and enhance testing capabilities. Testing is conducted in specialized laboratories and may involve highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using advanced instrumentation. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, operating and maintaining instruments, troubleshooting assays, evaluating test accuracy, assisting in result interpretation, and providing operational support to optimize testing processes. The role involves working with multiple computer systems to access information and report results. The position may require working independently with minimal supervision and may involve specimen collection. Adherence to strict safety protocols is essential to handle infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards safely. Required Skills & Experience Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints, effectively multitask, and perform in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with team members. Flexibility to accommodate scheduling adjustments, including off-shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend work assignments. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with the operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems.
