Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Cutting‑Edge Diagnostic Startup 25 miles West of Boston | On‑Site (Hybrid 1 day/week) | $60–85K + Bonus Our client, a well‑established, well‑funded biotechnology startup (10+ years in operation), is growing its clinical diagnostics team and adding a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to support their groundbreaking metabolomics‑based NMR assay for kidney transplant management. Their CLIA‑certified lab is expanding rapidly, with a liver panel in development. This is a rare opportunity to join a small, innovative, mission‑driven company using metabolomics to transform patient care. What You’ll Do Perform metabolite extraction, NMR sample prep, acquisition, and processing. Generate reports and maintain accurate specimen tracking in LIMS. Follow SOPs and stay compliant with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety procedures. Maintain equipment and a clean, organized lab environment. Participate in research projects and support company needs as they evolve. Work within established lab workflows that incorporate data handling and system‑driven processes. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field. Must have 1+ year of high‑complexity clinical testing experience in a CLIA‑regulated diagnostic laboratory. Experience must be clinical (diagnostic testing), not Research/Academic/Immunology/Preclinical/Cell Biology. Wet‑lab experience handling biological samples, including human biofluids and products. Strong manual pipetting skills. Experience working under SOPs in a regulated or quality‑focused environment. Comfort working with technical systems or structured workflows within a lab setting. Preferred Experience Metabolomics, NMR, liquid‑liquid extraction (LLE), clinical chemistry. Exposure to Linux, command‑line environments, or system‑based lab workflows. Experience running or interacting with scripts or automated processes in a lab setting (even at a basic level). Familiarity with Python or R is a plus but not required. Why This Role Stands Out Join a mission‑driven company improving outcomes for transplant patients. Work with innovative NMR‑based diagnostic technology. Growth potential as the clinical team expands. Startup culture + strong funding + decade‑long stability. Hybrid flexibility (1 remote day/week) and supportive leadership.
