Clinical Pharmacist Location: Remote Duration: 06/22/2026 – 12/31/2026 Pay Rate: $50/hr on W2 - $55 an hour Openings: 2 Job Summary We are seeking experienced Clinical Pharmacists to support medication management and clinical intervention activities for injured workers. This role is responsible for ensuring appropriate medication utilization through comprehensive clinical review, provider collaboration, and evidence-based decision-making. The Clinical Pharmacist will work closely with cross-functional clinical teams to assess prescription appropriateness, identify medication-related risks, and recommend effective interventions that improve patient outcomes while supporting cost-effective care. Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate prescription medication requests to determine clinical appropriateness for approval or denial Assess patient medical history, medication utilization, drug interactions, contraindications, and potential adverse effects Provide clinical recommendations and intervention strategies to improve medication safety and treatment outcomes Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and internal clinical teams regarding medication guidelines and treatment plans Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to identify trends in medication usage, safety concerns, and cost-saving opportunities Support utilization management and pharmacy review processes through evidence-based clinical decision-making Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, clinical guidelines, and organizational policies Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders Required Qualifications Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy Current active RPh license in good standing Minimum 2+ years of pharmacist experience in a clinical, managed care, PBM, or healthcare setting Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex clinical data Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in managed care, PBM, utilization review, prior authorization, or workers’ compensation pharmacy Experience with Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Familiarity with clinical guidelines, formulary management, and drug utilization review (DUR) Experience working with healthcare analytics and reporting tools Preferred Skills Clinical intervention and medication review Drug utilization review (DUR) Prior authorization review Medication safety and compliance Provider collaboration and education Data analysis and reporting Pharmacy operations and clinical documentation Work Environment Collaborative clinical team environment Opportunity to support patient-focused healthcare initiatives and medication safety programs Show more Show less
