Remote Clinical Pharmacist – Pharmacy Clinical Programs License Requirement: Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License Required We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to support the execution and optimization of pharmacy clinical programs within a highly regulated healthcare environment. This individual will play a critical role in advancing medication safety, improving health outcomes, ensuring formulary integrity, and driving clinically sound, cost-effective pharmacy strategies. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical judgment with managed care experience and thrives in a collaborative, data-driven environment. This role partners cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and provider-facing teams to influence medication management initiatives and improve quality outcomes across member populations. Key Responsibilities Clinical Pharmacy & Medication Management Evaluate and recommend clinically appropriate, evidence-based, and cost-effective formulary decisions and drug placement strategies. Support ongoing formulary maintenance activities, including provider, member, and stakeholder communications. Conduct retrospective claims analysis to identify patient-specific and population-level medication safety and quality improvement opportunities. Deliver provider outreach to communicate actionable medication management recommendations. Provider Engagement & Clinical Program Execution Perform outbound engagement with providers to improve adherence to medication safety and quality initiatives. Document outreach activities in accordance with program and compliance requirements. Monitor provider participation, identify barriers to engagement, and summarize trends and feedback to support continuous improvement. Provide drug information research and clinical consultation as needed. Collaboration, Compliance & Quality Partner with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives and clinical projects. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal clinical standards. Contribute to interdisciplinary efforts focused on improving care coordination and patient outcomes. Support initiatives that promote efficient, scalable, and high-quality pharmacy operations. Required Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License Minimum 1–3 years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience 5+ years of pharmacy practice experience OR completion of an accredited Managed Care Residency Experience conducting Prior Authorization Reviews Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacology, disease management, and managed care principles Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Experience Managed care or health plan experience Experience working within interdisciplinary and team-based care environments Demonstrated ability to influence provider behavior and improve medication outcomes Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills Ideal Candidate Profile Self-directed and comfortable operating in a remote environment Highly organized with strong attention to detail Effective at balancing multiple priorities and managing time independently Collaborative mindset with the ability to engage providers and internal stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes This is an outstanding opportunity for a clinically focused pharmacist to make a broad impact across medication quality, safety, and population health initiatives while working remotely.
