The successful candidate will report to a site/service manager and perform specialized pharmaceutical work in overseeing the daily operation of specific pharmacy services to specific sites, including overseeing and assigning daily work areas and duties to Pharmacists and Technicians. Work includes drug acquisition, education activities, provision of drug information, consultation and distribution functions, as well as a clinical assignment.Job DemandsBy applying for this job, you acknowledge an understanding that regular requirements and demands of this job include (but are not limited to):Occasionally lifts objects less than 10 lbs.Regularly stands or walks when performing activities.Constantly uses fine finger/precision work using hand tools; visual concentration is required to read and interpret drug orders, calculate dosages, ensure medications are dispensed properly, read clinical studies, drug monographs, patient specific laboratory results, and to inspect and check drug amounts/preparations.A high level of alertness and concentration is required to do this work.Works under tight time pressures with an unpredictable work paceJob QualificationsGraduation from a recognized School of Pharmacy is required.Licensure with the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board and membership with the Pharmacists' Association of Newfoundland and Labrador is required.Highly effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills is required.A high level of independence and self-direction is required.Demonstrated progressive leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated organizational skills.Prior supervisory experience would be an asset.Completion of a hospital residency would be considered an asset.A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
