Cloud Architect
Description
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join a growing Cloud Engineering team. This is a senior-level technical leadership position responsible for designing and delivering complex cloud solutions across enterprise environments, while providing strategic guidance on cloud architecture, security, governance, cost optimization, and emerging AI technologies. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, helping organizations modernize their cloud environments while ensuring scalability, resilience, compliance, and business alignment. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver enterprise-scale cloud architectures across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Lead technical strategy, architecture reviews, and cloud transformation initiatives. Architect secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions. Develop cloud governance frameworks, standards, and best practices. Provide expertise in cloud security, compliance, identity management, and risk mitigation. Lead cloud cost optimisation initiatives and provide strategic recommendations to maximise ROI. Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions across multiple regions. Serve as the primary technical authority during client engagements. Mentor and support junior engineers and architects. Drive innovation through the evaluation and adoption of emerging cloud technologies. Lead proof-of-concept projects and technical assessments. Advise organisations on the secure adoption of enterprise AI platforms and services. Provide guidance on AI governance, data readiness, security controls, and compliance considerations. Required Experience & Skills 5+ years of cloud engineering and architecture experience. Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud solutions. Deep expertise in Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform. Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, IAM, compute, storage, and cost management. Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform. Strong CI/CD and automation experience. Expertise with Kubernetes, containerisation, and cloud-native architectures. Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, hybrid identity, and Linux environments. Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies. Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders. Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
