Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Location: Remote Employment Type: W2 Only Top 3 Required Skills VMware Kubernetes AWS and/or GCP Cloud Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Private Cloud team. The team is responsible for designing, building, and operating a highly scalable private cloud platform that supports millions of devices globally and processes over 4 billion HTTP requests per day across multiple data centers. This role focuses on building resilient infrastructure, automating operations, improving platform reliability, and enabling seamless service deployment through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native technologies. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable private cloud infrastructure. Build and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and security. Develop standardized operating system images and deployment frameworks for bare-metal servers, virtual machines, and cloud environments. Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to maintain platform stability and drive operational excellence. Implement automation, monitoring, and self-healing capabilities to improve platform resiliency. Participate in production support and on-call rotations. Lead infrastructure initiatives while promoting engineering best practices, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure or cloud platforms. Strong experience with VMware and private cloud infrastructure. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments. Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . Experience deploying workloads using Helm and ArgoCD . Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, Ruby, or Scala . Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible . Strong Linux/Unix administration skills. Solid understanding of systems architecture, scalability, and operational best practices. Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
