Cloud Engineer (Azure/AWS) Soni is partnered with a client seeking a Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS environments. Responsibilities: Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and compliance using native and third-party tools Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover strategies to ensure business continuity Optimize cloud resources, configurations, and policies to align with best practices for governance, cost, and security Support cloud migrations from on-premises to Azure and AWS Serve as SME for cloud architecture, operations, troubleshooting, and service inquiries Collaborate with developers, network, cybersecurity, and IT teams to support enterprise initiatives Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, standards, and operational procedures Support infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily Terraform Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization efforts Ensure adherence to governance policies including tagging and cost management standards Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) 6–8 years of relevant experience with 4–6 years in Azure and/or AWS administration Strong experience with cloud architecture, deployment, and operations Hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog or cloud-native equivalents Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams Preferred: Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications Compensation: Up to $140,000 annually Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications .
