Job Title: Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (Level III) Location: Shorewood, WI (Hybrid) Client: Leading Financial Services Firm Salary Range: $108,000 – $169,000 (Base plus comprehensive bonus/benefits) The Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join a premier financial institution’s Cloud Foundations team. My client is currently undergoing a major strategic shift toward a "services-first" automated environment. You will play a pivotal role in moving away from manual provisioning toward a sophisticated, self-service cloud ecosystem powered by APIs and standardized pipelines. This is a multi-cloud environment (AWS & Azure) where you will act as a bridge between high-level architecture and practical, scalable implementation. If you thrive on solving platform friction, improving observability, and building governance-ready infrastructure at scale, this is the role for you. Core Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert within the cloud engineering pod, mentoring junior staff and driving DevOps best practices. Automation & Provisioning: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows to automate software delivery and infrastructure management. Platform Refinement: Develop secure, reusable patterns and self-service workflows to enable application teams to adopt cloud services seamlessly. Code Quality: Conduct robust code reviews and apply unit testing to ensure all infrastructure-as-code meet enterprise standards. Reliability Engineering: Utilize SRE principles to monitor, tune, and improve the performance and stability of Linux-based platforms and containerized environments. What You Bring to the Table: Experience: 3-5+ years in professional IT, with at least 2+ years specifically focused on cloud-native engineering. Cloud Expertise: Strong proficiency in AWS (Certifications like Associate or Professional level are highly preferred). Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD is a major plus). IaC Mastery: Proven ability to build environment-agnostic infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation. Development Skills: Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar modern languages. DevOps Tooling: Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or CircleCI. System Knowledge: Robust understanding of Linux/Windows administration, networking (firewalls/certs), and vulnerability management. Why Join This Team? My client is known for its "best-in-class" culture, offering a stable yet innovative environment. You will enjoy: Flexible work-life balance and a hybrid office model. A transparent and competitive compensation structure. Top-tier benefits including a comprehensive pension/401k and concierge services. The opportunity to build a career in a "long-term" company that values stability and employee growth. Our client is an equal opportunity employer committed to workforce diversity.
