Provides crisis counselling, crisis management, advocacy, and outreach services to individuals affected by intimate partner violence Assesses client needs and connects them with community resources. Facilitates groups, workshops, and public education initiativesMaintains documentation and reporting requirements, collaborates with community partners, supports agency outreach and committeesParticipates in clinical supervisionProvides court caseworker coverage as neededWorks flexible hours including evenings and weekends.Others as assigned Completed degree in BSW or BISW3-5 yrs of direct experienceEligible for registration with & maintain good standing in a relevant professional association Knowledge of counselling theories and practices, including crisis intervention, short-term counselling, human development, behavioural change, communication, conflict resolution, interviewing, assessment, and evaluation techniquesComprehensive understanding of intimate partner violence, abuse dynamics, coercive control, risk factors, and experience supporting survivors using trauma- and violence-informed approaches.Skilled in group facilitation and knowledgeable about community resources related to IPV. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and effectiveness in working with Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, and newcomer populations.Familiar with the justice system, domestic violence court processes, and the impacts of addictions, mental health concerns, and FASDPossesses strong interpersonal, ethical, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage caseloads, work independently, adapt to changing prioritiesMaintain a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
