SUMMARYReporting to the director responsible for Francophonie affairs, the incumbent coordinates and monitors initiatives arising from the municipal French-language vitality strategy; serves as a resource person and advisor to municipal departments and partners to support the integration of Francophonie related priorities into the municipality's projects, programs and services; and helps raise the profile of the Francophonie and Acadia by engaging partners, coordinating initiatives and identifying opportunities to strengthen French-language vitality.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAdvisory support and guidanceServe as a resource person for municipal departments on Francophonie-related issuesAdvise and support departments in integrating practices that promote French-language vitality, active offer and bilingual servicesContribute to the development of tools, resources and best practices in support of municipal prioritiesPartnerships and consultationDevelop and maintain collaborative relationships with francophone and Acadian organizations, institutions and partnersCoordinate consultation mechanisms related to municipal francophone prioritiesRepresent the municipality in dealings with partners, networks and relevant bodiesPromotion and developmentCoordinate activities, projects and initiatives that raise the profile of the Francophonie and AcadiaIdentify opportunities for collaboration, funding or development to support municipal objectivesHelp position the municipality as a dynamic, welcoming and inclusive francophone and Acadian communityCoordination of initiatives and projectsCoordinate the implementation of initiatives and actions arising from the municipal Francophonie action planMonitor timelines, deliverables and expected resultsIdentify issues, risks and opportunities for improvement, and report them to managementAnalysis and reportingMonitor Francophonie-related trends, issues, programs and opportunitiesCompile and analyze data relevant to the evaluation of initiativesPrepare reports, summaries, recommendations and other documents for managementOtherCarry out any other related duties related to their mandateMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducationUndergraduate degree (bachelor's) in public administration, communications, public relations, community development, political science, francophone studies or an equivalent field of expertiseAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredExperienceFive (5) years of relevant experience in coordinating projects or initiatives, consultation, community development, government relations, partnerships, communications or public relationsGood understanding of the realities of francophone and Acadian communities, ideally in a minority contextExperience in the francophone sector, public policy, the municipal sector, or community or quasi-public organizations (asset)KnowledgeFluency in spoken and written French and EnglishExcellent knowledge of francophone issues, linguistic vitality and the realities of francophone and Acadian communitiesStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Good knowledge of consultation, engagement and partnership development approachesGood knowledge of the principles of strategic communication, public relations and public engagementGood knowledge of municipal or public sector operationsSkills and abilitiesExcellent interpersonal, communication and writing skillsAbility to coordinate several projects or files simultaneously and manage prioritiesAbility to analyze, exercise judgment and solve problemsAbility to engage partners and lead working groups, committees or consultation mechanismsAbility to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with various internal and external stakeholdersAbility to communicate information clearly and adapt communications to different audiencesAbility to work independently, take initiative and carry out assigned tasks in a thorough, highly organized mannerAbility to handle sensitive or c
