Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counsellor to join our mental health support team. The ideal candidate will provide empathetic guidance, support clients through personal challenges, and facilitate their journey toward emotional well-being. Duties * Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to address clients? emotional, psychological, and behavioral concerns. * Develop tailored treatment plans based on client needs and goals. * Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with privacy regulations. * Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring immediate support and safety for clients. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals, to coordinate care. * Educate clients on coping mechanisms, stress management techniques, and mental health resources. * Stay informed about current best practices in counselling and mental health treatment through ongoing professional development. * Promote a safe, welcoming environment that encourages open communication and trust. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field; a Master?s degree is preferred. * Valid licensure or certification as required by local regulations (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor). * Proven experience in providing mental health counselling or related support services. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients. * Strong active listening skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding. * Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality. * Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, or other relevant modalities is desirable. * Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards. This role is vital in supporting individuals on their path to emotional resilience and well-being through compassionate care and expert guidance. The counsellors needed should reside in Regina, Sk, and be able to do in person work and virtual work.
