Description
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Courier company. Tasks: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Load and unload goods. Sort packages for delivery. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Cellular phone. Gloves.
