Position Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and reliable Dance Teacher to join our team! The successful candidate will inspire a love of dance while creating a fun, safe, and positive learning environment for our youngest dancers. Classes Taught * Young Ballet (ages 4-5) - Wednesdays 5:00-6:00pm * Munchkin Jazz/Tap Combo (ages 2?5) - Saturdays 10:00-11:00am * Mini Jazz Technique (ages 6?8) - Saturdays 11:00-12:00pm Responsibilities * Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate dance classes that follow the studio syllabus and curriculum. * Create a welcoming, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment. * Introduce proper dance technique through creative and developmentally appropriate exercises. * Foster confidence, musicality, coordination, and a love of movement. * Manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement and age-appropriate strategies. * Prepare students for year-end performances. * Communicate professionally with parents when needed. * Attend staff meetings, rehearsals, and studio events as required. * Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during class. Qualifications * Experience teaching ballet, jazz, and/or tap to preschool and young children. * Strong classroom management skills with young learners. * Positive, patient, and enthusiastic personality. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently while collaborating with the studio team.
