Data Analyst

Job Description: We are seeking a highly analytical Analyst to support a capital portfolio through deep analysis of project and operational data. This role is focused on transforming large datasets into actionable insights, identifying trends, and supporting leadership decision-making. The ideal candidate enjoys working extensively with data, uncovering patterns, and communicating meaningful insights to stakeholders rather than simply generating reports. Key Responsibilities Collect, extract, and validate large sets of project and operational data Analyze trends, variances, and performance metrics to identify key insights Investigate data inconsistencies and anomalies Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations Interpret data and translate findings into business recommendations Present insights and findings to leadership and stakeholders Support decision-making through data-driven analysis Collaborate with business teams to answer operational and performance-related questions What they will be doing/ working on: Look at data from projects and operations Figure out what it means (what’s working, what’s not, what’s changing) Spot problems or unusual trends Turn numbers into insights that leadership can understand Create reports and dashboards to show the findings Explain the story behind the data to help teams make better decisions Must Have Skills : Dive deeply into data Analyze and interpret results Explain trends and variances Provide actionable insights Translate data into business recommendations Support leadership decision-making Preferred: Utility industry experience Regulated industry experience Capital project analytics Financial analysis Dashboard development Data visualization Executive reporting Required Skills & Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proven experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis Ability to interpret data and explain trends, variances, and key insights Experience creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly Experience translating data into actionable business recommendations Preferred Qualifications Experience in utilities or regulated industries Exposure to capital project analytics Financial analysis experience Business intelligence and dashboard development tools Executive-level reporting experience Show more Show less
