Data Engineer

Job Description Responsible for designing and building systems that collect, store, and process data. Job Grade 4 Job Tier 2 Career Area Information Technology Supervisor No Job Qualifications Four years of IT experience with SQL, data lake management, or modern AI development deployment, or equivalent is required. OR Bachelor's degree and two years of IT experience with SQL, data lake management, or modern AI development deployment, or equivalent is required. Additional Qualifications/Requirements PCS Not Authorized/LSP Not Authorized Work – Onsite (HQ – Dallas, Texas) Remote/Telework not authorized per Presidential Memorandum “Return to In Person Work” Major Duties Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store structured and unstructured data. Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability and usability for model training. Implement data validation, monitoring, and tracking to ensure data integrity. Support engineering and experimentation by delivering clean, well-documented datasets.
