This individual will be a key contributor, driving innovation and shaping the future of our data science initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of business operations. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from initial conception and design to deployment and maintenance in production environments. Develop and implement advanced ML architectures for complex models, ensuring scalability, performance, and robustness. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of operational processes, identify key challenges, and translate business needs into data-driven solutions. Guide and direct interaction with product teams to influence product design, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical feasibility. Employ a production-first approach, conducting thorough feasibility studies and prototyping to evaluate project viability, considering performance, time, quality, and cost. Introduce and champion innovative ML techniques, processes, and products within the organization. Mentor and guide junior and senior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Proactively identify and address potential challenges and risks throughout the project lifecycle. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field of machine learning and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Contribute to the development and refinement of data science best practices and methodologies. Critical QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 6+ years of experience in a data science or analytics role, with a significant portion dedicated to leading complex projects. Advanced knowledge of ML models: NLP, Gen AI and deep learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).Demonstrated experience with data mining techniques and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex ML architectures.Strong experience with data visualization tools (preferably Microstrategy or Tableau, Power BI).Advanced cloud/ML engineering certification (preferably Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer / Machine Learning Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect ? Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert). Advanced understanding of business operations, needs, and pain points, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Exceptional proficiency in developing, training, and deploying ML models in production environments. Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python preferred). Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
