Database Administrator

We're looking for a Database Engineer who can design, maintain, and optimize the databases. This role is ideal for someone who has hands‑on engineering experience, performance tuning, automation, and supporting mission‑critical systems in a highly regulated environment. In this position, you'll work across the full lifecycle of our database platforms designing, managing performance, supporting access methods, and contributing to system enhancements. You'll also participate in disaster recovery drills, maintain metadata repositories, and provide primary on‑call support for production issues. As we modernize our tooling, you'll have opportunities to work with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline database operations. What you'll work on: • Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise databases • Monitoring performance, disk usage, and tuning database workloads • Supporting database access and troubleshooting production issues • Developing backup, recovery, and maintenance procedures • Participating in DR drills and software upgrade evaluations • Contributing to documentation, metadata management, and data standards • Automation with Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows What you bring: • Years as a DBA or similar role • Strong DML, DDL, and DBMS utilities experience across at least two database technologies • Understanding of DBMS access methods and underlying OS interactions • Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server • experience with tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines Benefits: • 115K base • 15% Bonus • 20+ days PTO • Full Health, Vision, and Dental care packages • 6% match 401K
