Department Administrator II
Description
The Department Administrator II, Radiation Oncology & Ophthalmology provides strategic and operational leadership for the administrative needs for both departments including financial management, budget development, strategic planning, faculty support in partnership with the department chairs. Oversee administrative operations for the Radiation Oncology and Ophthalmology departments. Supports the Chairs with planning, reporting and departmental initiatives. Partnerships & Operational Coordination Serves as key department operational liaison with Sentara leadership Physician Recruitment & Faculty Affairs Partners with Department Chairs to coordinate physician recruitment activities in accordance with institutional and Medical group policies, procedures and recruitment processes. Financial & Grants Management Provides budgeting financial oversight and administrative management for the Departments Facilities & Resources Oversees operational planning and coordination for department facilities, including clinic infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree with seven years of relevant healthcare experience. Leadership experience in physician coordination and scheduling, with oversight of administrative staff. Preferred Qualifications Grants management experience preferred US-VA-Norfolk
