The OpportunityThe LD Shoppe Design Consultant role offers a unique opportunity that blends sales and customer relationship management with interior design and decorating. As a core member of our showroom team, our design consultants are the in-store face of our LD brand and play an integral role in ensuring each customer that walks through our doors receives warm, knowledgeable, and dedicated service. The ideal candidate has exceptional people skills, strong foundational knowledge in interior design/decorating/home furnishings, a proven ability to connect customers with tailored solutions, and an ambitious and results-driven work ethic. The role consists of three main pillars: working with walk-in clients in our showroom, completing LD Shoppe Design Consultations, and supporting all showroom operations such as pulling, packing, and shipping out client orders. What You?ll Be DoingShowroom FloorProactively welcome and approach in-store clients, assessing needs and concerns for their spaceEducate customers about suitable options to meet their needs and guide them through the ordering process Be self-driven in learning about our product and service offerings, to be a confident and knowledgeable representative of LD ShoppeEngage with customers and clients thoroughly and meaningfully to drive sales and contribute to our showroom team?s shared targetsProvide email and phone support to our customers as neededAssist with merchandising to best optimize product sales Process sales through POS system LD Shoppe Design ConsultationsLead 45 min to 60 min consultations with clients to discuss the clients needs and goal for their space Actively listen to the clients needs and concerns Create mood boards, floor plans, and shopping lists to help the client invision their space with what you have selected according to the needs of the clientMake revisions when necessary to mood boards, floor plans, and shopping lists if the deliverable does not meet the client's approval Assist the Design Consultant Coordinator with any ongoing projects Showroom Operations Support pulling product from the sales floor for online orders Support packing and shipping of merchandise for online orders Proactively support the maintenance of our showroom as a high end, inspiration-driven space; clean, dust, mop, vacuum, water plants, freshen up displays, organize admin areas and keep the showroom looking its absolute best for our customers Be able to life and move furniture and boxes up to 20lbsAssist with receiving of new products and in store pickups*The schedule for this role is from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday.
