Azure DevOps Engineer Location: Onsite in Suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to support the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD practices within a modern Azure environment. This role will partner closely with development, security, and operations teams to automate deployments, improve system reliability, and enable scalable, cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Azure, Infrastructure as Code, and containerized environments, along with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Provision and operate cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes (AKS) Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud environments Collaborate with development teams to improve build, release, and deployment processes Enforce best practices for security, scalability, availability, and cost optimization Troubleshoot infrastructure, pipeline, and deployment issues Contribute to architecture decisions and continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or similar role Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform Experience with Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, Git, and CI/CD concepts Familiarity with containerization using Docker Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security principles Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar) Preferred Qualifications Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104) Experience with Helm, Kustomize, or GitOps tools Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Prometheus Experience implementing security and compliance controls in cloud environments Background working in Agile/Scrum environments Work Environment Collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment Opportunity to contribute to cloud architecture and DevOps maturity Focus on automation, reliability, and scalable infrastructure practices Equal Opportunity & AI Disclosure Codeworks, an LRS Company, is an equal opportunity employer.
