Compensation: $120,000-$135,000 base + Full Benefits + Signon bonus Client: Publicly traded cybersecurity company We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our growing Cloud team. Your expertise in AWS, cloud architecture, and security solutions will help ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our global SaaS infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate with an agile team to design, automate, and maintain cloud infrastructure, driving improvements in deployments, infrastructure management, and security practices. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and support mission-critical, security-focused software solutions in 24/7 AWS production environments. Design, architect, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure and hosted applications utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and GitHub Actions. Implement and oversee security measures within AWS to ensure compliance with industry standards. Enforce best practices in security, compliance, and IAM across AWS environments. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to automate and optimize deployment processes. Create observability solutions to monitor system health, performance, and security using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, and other open source tools. Leverage scripting languages (Bash, Node.js, NestJS) to automate provisioning and simplify ongoing operational tasks to improve efficiency Perform ongoing testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting to improve system reliability and operational efficiency of our cloud solutions. Provide occasional after-hours operational support for cloud infrastructure, addressing performance concerns and customer outages promptly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, innovative solutions. Support infrastructure updates through streamlined change management processes Required Experience and Skills: Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps engineering roles, managing cloudinfrastructure and security solutions. Proven expertise in AWS services (EKS, RDS, ASG, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, ELB, KMS, SES). Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, EKS, and Helm for managing containerized workloads and applications. Proficiency in programming and scripting (AWS CLI, Terraform, Node.js, Bash) for automating processes and infrastructure management. Prior experience with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and strong knowledge of industry best practices around HTTP application monitoring, observability, and alerting. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions) for streamlined deployment workflows. Extensive experience in production environments, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, live updates, performing backups, and restores. In-depth understanding of security best practices, including least privilege, zero trust principles, and AWS security tools (IAM Identity Center, AWS Config, GuardDuty, Security Groups). Strong grasp of Linux OS fundamentals and containerization technologies like Docker. Ability to design and implement highly available solutions while ensuring robust disaster recovery strategies. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (strongly preferred). AWS, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), and Terraform certifications (strongly preferred). Ability to occasionally provide after-hours support for critical service outages.
