Role Description The Dietitian Nutritionist 1 role at Sodexo is a full-time, on-site position located in Greater Chattanooga. This role involves providing evidence-based nutrition care, including conducting nutrition assessments, developing individualized care plans, and delivering medical nutrition therapy in collaboration with healthcare and food service teams. The Dietitian Nutritionist 1 will counsel clients and patients on nutrition, weight management, and lifestyle changes, and support menu planning that aligns with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Daily responsibilities include documenting nutrition services, monitoring outcomes, participating in interdisciplinary meetings, and contributing to nutrition education initiatives for patients, staff, and the community. The role also involves adherence to regulatory requirements, professional practice standards, and Sodexo policies focused on quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Qualifications Strong foundation in dietetics and general nutrition, with the ability to apply current evidence-based guidelines to diverse populations. Proficiency in nutritional counseling, including effective communication, behavior change techniques, and culturally sensitive education. Experience or training in medical nutrition therapy, particularly in clinical or healthcare settings. Knowledge of weight management principles, including assessment, goal setting, and ongoing monitoring and support. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or eligibility for registration, with state licensure or certification as required in Tennessee or the Greater Chattanooga area. Ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Familiarity with food service operations, menu planning, and nutrition-related regulatory standards is beneficial.
