Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and residential settings - Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions - Work with an apprentice, ensuring safety and proper training - Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as frame carpenters and handymen, to complete renovation projects - Operate company vehicle legally and responsibly - Conduct inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades - Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems - Occasionally speak directly with customers to ensure accuracy of work to be completed Experience: - Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification - Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade - Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings - Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations - Experience with frame carpentry and renovation projects is a plus - Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose electrical problems accurately - Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
