Title: Enterprise Architect – Public Sector (Advisory Leader) Location: Sacramento, CA Hybrid: – 2–3 days onsite; occasional SF travel Comp: $120K–$200K base + variable | OTE $300K+ Overview Insight Global's Client is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to lead advisory engagements across State & Local Government customers in California . This individual will act as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor , aligning business objectives with enterprise technology strategy while helping build and scale a growing advisory practice. This is a highly strategic, customer-facing role —operating above traditional Solution Architect / presales functions as a generalist architect driving outcomes across multiple technology domains. Key Responsibilities Serve as the lead architect and advisor for public sector customers, guiding enterprise technology strategy and transformation initiatives Partner with executive stakeholders (C-suite, agency leadership) to translate business goals into scalable technology roadmaps Lead consulting engagements , from discovery through solution alignment and long-term planning Drive presales strategy and solution positioning across complex, multi-domain opportunities Collaborate with account teams and national architecture leadership to align on large deals and customer strategy Act as the technical quarterback across cross-functional teams (SAs, engineers, delivery, managed services) Support the buildout and leadership of the advisory team as the practice expands across California Maintain long-term client relationships and identify net-new opportunities within State & Local accounts Qualifications 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, consulting, or strategic presales Proven experience supporting public sector (State & Local Government) clients Strong background in complex solution design and enterprise-level strategy Experience in consulting, systems integrators, or managed services environments Ability to operate as a business technologist —connecting technology decisions to financial and operational outcomes Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders Experience leading or mentoring architecture or advisory teams preferred Nice to Have: Public sector presales experience VAR or integrator background (not required) Broad, cross-domain technical exposure vs. deep specialization Show more Show less
