Labrador-Grenfell Zone is seeking a Family Practice Physician to join the Labrador West Health Centre Family Care Team (FCT) in Labrador City, NL. The FCT mandate is to provide patients in the Labrador region who do not have a primary care provider with access to high-quality primary health care services.Care is delivered using an interprofessional collaborative approach, where patients see the right provider at the right time and place. The team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, a diabetic nurse educator, LPNs, pharmacists, social workers, a dietitian, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and clerical support. All providers are expected to practice to their full scope. The FCT aims to provide continuity of care to improve health outcomes and patients' quality of life.The successful candidate will manage a roster of patients, demonstrate a strong patient focus, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in collaborative team-based practice. Flexibility in hours may be required to offer daytime, after-hours, and weekend clinics.
