Finops Cloud Engineer

Position Title: Cloud Engineer Location: Birmingham, AL (Onsite) Clearance Requirements: None Position Status: Direct-Hire EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 -5 years experience in a technology and/or software engineering role. Prefer 2-3 years in an Cloud FinOps, Cloud platform, DevOps or similar role. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) billing, cost management tools, and pricing models Hands-on experience with core GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.) and understanding their financial impacts FinOps Framework principles and cloud financial management Proficiency in analyzing large datasets (using BigQuery, SQL, etc.) to derive actionable insights regarding cloud spend Experience with FinOps and cloud cost management platforms (e.g., native GCP Billing Export to BigQuery,PowerBi, etc) Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and how to implement cost-estimation policies A strong mix of cloud engineering architecture knowledge and financial analytical skills Experience with building and maintaining financial dashboards (e.g., Looker, Grafana, PowerBI) About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
