Flutter Engineer Location: Philadelphia, United States (hybrid) Employment Type: Contract About the Role We are looking for a talented Flutter Engineer to join a high-performing software engineering team developing next-generation applications for connected devices and consumer platforms. You'll play a key role in building scalable, high-quality mobile and cross-platform applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to work on products used by millions of customers, contributing to the design, development, testing, and deployment of innovative software solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform applications using Flutter and Dart. Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable code following best engineering practices. Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, QA Engineers, and Backend Developers throughout the software development lifecycle. Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and third-party SDKs. Optimise application performance, responsiveness, and reliability across Android and iOS platforms. Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit, widget, and integration testing. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning. Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. Stay up to date with Flutter ecosystem developments and mobile engineering best practices. Required Experience 3+ years of professional software engineering experience. Commercial experience developing applications with Fluttter. Strong proficiency in Dart. Experience building and releasing applications for both Android and IOS. Solid understanding of mobile application architecture patterns (MVVM, BLoC, Provider, Riverpod, etc.). Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous programming. Knowledge of Git version control and collaborative development workflows. Experience with unit testing, widget testing, and automated testing frameworks. Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Experience Experience with native Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift/Objective-C) development. Familiarity with Firebase. Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket Pipelines. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies. Experience developing applications for connected devices, streaming platforms, or smart home ecosystems. Understanding of accessibility and responsive UI design principles. Familiarity with state management frameworks including BLoC, Riverpod, or Provider.
