*RUNNER *(Pay range between $17 - $22 per hour) We are seeking a team of friendly and efficient Food/Drink Runners and servers to join our dynamic hospitality team at Calgary's newest and hottest Tiki cocktail bar on the bustling 17th Ave. Jungle Bird. The Food/Drink Runner plays a vital role in ensuring our guests receive prompt and accurate food and drink service, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to work in a lively restaurant environment where teamwork, communication, and attention to detail are essential. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for hospitality. Although the primary position will be as a Food & Drink Runner, once training is successfully completed, the selected candidate will also have opportunities on certain shifts to serve their own tables and earn additional tips. Duties * Deliver prepared food and drinks from the kitchen and bar to guest tables promptly and accurately * Assist with food and drink presentation and ensure dishes meet quality standards before serving * Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff and servers to coordinate timely delivery of orders * Maintain cleanliness of service stations and dining areas throughout shifts * Support the team during busy periods by helping with clearing tables and seating guests from the door * Communicate effectively with guests to address their needs and ensure satisfaction * Most importantly, to deliver an outstanding experience to guests Experience * Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is advantageous but not mandatory * Familiarity with serving, food preparation, and handling POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus * Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential * Knowledge of kitchen operations, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and food handling will support success in this position Base Compensation will start at $17 and will average approx. around $22 per hour INCLUDING tips (the days you serve).
