Position Founding Mobile App Developer (Equity) Location: Remote Commitment: Flexible (Part-Time or Full-Time) Compensation: Founder Equity (No Salary During Initial Development) Students, recent graduates, self-taught developers, and experienced engineers are all encouraged to apply. What You'll Build You'll help create a next-generation mobile platform focused on: AI-assisted content creation Cloud-based user experiences Interactive digital media User accounts and authentication Creator tools Digital asset management Marketplace functionality Community features Scalable mobile architecture You'll collaborate directly with the founder and other developers to transform product concepts into a production-ready application. Day-to-day tasks will include implementing new features, optimizing performance, managing data flows and integrations, and collaborating closely with the founding team on product requirements and UX decisions. The role involves building secure, scalable, and reliable mobile experiences, troubleshooting issues, and iterating quickly based on user feedback and analytics. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Fairfax, VA, requiring regular in-person collaboration for product planning, technical reviews, and team alignment. The position is equity-based, with the potential to grow into a larger leadership role as the company scales. Qualifications Strong foundation in Software Development and Programming, with experience building mobile applications (native or cross-platform). Working knowledge of Databases and data modeling, including designing efficient queries and managing data persistence for mobile apps. Familiarity with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) or equivalent styling frameworks for front-end and mobile UI design. Experience with Integration of APIs and third-party services, including authentication, payment, or messaging platforms. Understanding of mobile app architecture, version control (e.g., Git), and secure coding practices. Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Fairfax, VA, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and contribute to product strategy. Prior experience in startup environments or as a founding engineer is helpful; interest in equity-based compensation and long-term ownership is essential.
