About The Role MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career-oriented Front End Developer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing web-based user interfaces for operational tools and capability management systems that support national security missions. Your work will involve creating visualization dashboards that present complex technical data in operator-friendly formats, enabling efficient decision-making in high-stakes environments. You will conduct user research to understand workflow pain points and interface requirements, ensuring that the solutions you develop are intuitive and responsive. The role requires building web applications that are accessible, optimized for operational constraints, and capable of integrating seamlessly with back-end APIs, data pipelines, and capability infrastructure. You will also develop real-time data visualization tools to monitor operational status, system health, and mission telemetry, thereby enhancing situational awareness for operators. Occasional CONUS travel up to 25% may be required to support project needs and stakeholder engagement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 13+ years of experience OR Associate’s degree with 11+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 7+ years, or PhD with 5+ years of progressively responsible experience. Minimum of 3+ years of professional front-end development experience. Expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript. Experience with RESTful API integration and asynchronous data handling. Proficiency with data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Plotly, Chart.js, or similar. Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and collaborative development workflows. Familiarity with build tools and package managers like Webpack, npm, and yarn. Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and be a U.S. citizen. Responsibilities Design and develop web-based user interfaces for operational tools and capability management systems. Create visualization dashboards that present complex technical data in operator-friendly formats. Conduct user research with operators to understand workflow pain points and interface requirements. Build responsive, accessible web applications optimized for operational environment constraints. Integrate front-end applications with back-end APIs, data pipelines, and capability infrastructure. Implement real-time data visualization for operational status, system health, and mission telemetry. Develop interface components that streamline operator workflows during mission execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Maintain and update existing applications to improve performance and usability. Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
