About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support, maintenance, and enhancements to a critical client application. Your focus will be on ensuring the application's accessibility, reliability, and optimal performance within an Agile, sprint-based development environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in modern web technologies, including JavaScript frameworks, responsive design, and accessibility standards such as Section 508 compliance. You will leverage cloud technologies like AWS, version control systems such as Git/GitHub, and open-source solutions to develop scalable, user-centric applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to federal projects that require handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and adhering to strict safeguarding and compliance protocols. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of frontend development experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; additional 3 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree Proficiency in modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles Experience with JavaScript development using modern standards, frameworks, and libraries Understanding of Section 508 compliance and WCAG accessibility standards Experience with accessibility testing tools, both automated and manual Ability to consume RESTful APIs effectively Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and sprint-based development cycles Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git/GitHub Experience creating web layouts from static images, views, and templates within full-stack frameworks Knowledge of AWS cloud environment and familiarity with Python backend and TypeScript frontend development Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in team settings Responsibilities Provide expert technical support for the maintenance and enhancement of the client application Develop and implement new features, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness across devices Optimize application performance and reliability, ensuring high availability Collaborate within an Agile, sprint-based development environment to deliver timely solutions Work with cross-functional teams to support development, integration, and testing efforts Utilize AWS cloud services to deploy and manage application components Consume and integrate RESTful APIs to enhance application functionality Ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG standards through testing and validation Maintain version control and documentation of code changes Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and project planning sessions Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Short Term & Long-Term Disability Training & Development Opportunities Equal Opportunity Aretum is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
