Western Cannabis is expanding their cultivation operations and is looking to hire 1-2 full time Grow Associates to join their growing team to help keep up with the high demand! Description: Working closely under the direction of the Master Grower, Post Harvest Manger, and QA department, the Grow Associates are responsible for, but not limited to, the maintenance/cleanliness of the grow area, along with assisting the Grow Team with cultivation and maintenance of cannabis plants. As a full time employee, your hours of employment would consist either Five 8 hour shifts - Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or Four 10 hours shifts - Monday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Friday - 7:00am to 5:30pm Responsibilities, including but not limited to: * Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP?s) to maintain compliance with Western Cannabis and Health Canada regulations * Daily cleaning and sanitization duties to maintain a clean and organized work/grow environment * Assist in the cultivation and maintenance of cannabis plants throughout their lifecycle * Perform tasks such as pruning, transplanting, and harvesting plants * Completing daily records and documents * Participate in regular training sessions Candidate Profile: * MUST BE RELIABLE * No cannabis experience necessary * High School Diploma or higher * Be physically able to perform the duties of the position; including standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50lbs), and sitting on a regular basis * Must be ok working in an environment that is bright, loud, and aromatic. * Meticulous attention to detail * Takes initiative and is a self starter * Ability to work independently and safely in a group environment * Must have access to reliable transportation * Must be able to pass a criminal background check All employees must be 19+ Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $16.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Life insurance * Vision care Work Location: In person
