About the Firm A leading alternative asset management firm specialising in credit-oriented strategies - including liquid credit, private credit, distressed and special situations, structured finance, and CLOs. The firm manages multi-billion-dollar investment partnerships on behalf of top-tier global institutions and has been operating for over three decades. The Role We are looking for a hands-on Full Stack Developer to join the Business Technology team and build core systems that power the firm's credit, private credit, structured products, and CLO businesses. You will work directly with portfolio managers, analysts, risk, operations, and investor relations
- designing, building, and owning applications from database and API through to modern, responsive front-end interfaces. citeturn89search1 This is a high-impact role where you will: Build and enhance full-stack applications across the firm's investment platform Modernise legacy systems
- replacing spreadsheets and ad-hoc tools with scalable, auditable services Partner directly with investment teams to translate business requirements into production systems Work across the full stack
- backend services, APIs, data layer, and responsive web interfaces Use AI coding assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) as part of your daily workflow What We're Looking For Must-Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (senior profiles strongly preferred) 2+ years working in credit, structured products, or quantitative finance
- ideally at a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or financial technology firm Strong backend skills in Python and/or C#/.NET
- APIs, services, integration patterns Solid SQL proficiency
- query tuning, window functions, set-based thinking Experience building and owning production, business-critical systems end-to-end Demonstrated understanding of financial products
- credit, fixed income, derivatives, CLOs, or structured finance Comfortable working directly with investment professionals (PMs, analysts, risk teams) Nice-to-Have Frontend experience with React / JavaScript / TypeScript Exposure to portfolio accounting systems (e.g. Geneva), reporting tools (SSRS, Tableau), or BI platforms Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) and modern DevOps practices Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
